We arrived in Telluride Colorado for Thanksgiving late Sunday night.
I’m happy to be spending some time relaxing during this family oriented holiday! It’s been a very fun and busy autumn and I’m excited to be visiting Telluride for the first time! First thing Monday morning we couldn’t wait to start capturing the mountain views from the chalet we were staying in.
We also were really looking forward to exploring the town of Telluride after hearing so much about it. Seeing the mountains was such a nice change of scenery! I’ve been traveling a lot but haven’t seen any snow covered mountains for a few years, and it reminded me how much I love them!
We tried a few spots in Telluride and I’m happy to say we already discovered a few favorite spots! The Butcher and the Baker is a wonderful lunch spot with great Colorado coffee shop vibes. We also went to La Marmotte and it felt like we were in a Swiss mountain restaurant, I’m still thinking about the delectable appetizers of salmon tartare tacos and king crab cakes.
Telluride has a bunch of really great shops, some more Colorado style than others. I love the variety of stores, some had some very mountain style items like fur throws and hide rugs. Some stores while very cute and chic were a little overpriced, but I liked that there were options for every person! Today we’re going out to explore some more and ride the Gondola, so I’ll be reporting back with that experience!
