I just love when the lights go down, they announce my name, then I walk on stage. Especially for a good cause.
Over an hour and a bit we share stories through music with an audience. Music that I hope, makes people laugh, smile, and feel empowered. That’s what my most recent show with the band felt just like. We played a couple new songs which will be coming out soon and then we played a couple new (to me) country classics which I am loving having in the setlist!
The show benefited the Food Bank so that more people can have a good meal during this holiday season.
It’s so wonderful to be able to use music to bring people together and to have it result in giving a gift to those in need. This time of year always reminds me that as much as it’s about sharing special moments with my family and loved ones, it’s also about sharing our kindness and gifts with others. Even if you don’t or can’t donate your funds you can donate your time, because a little kindness goes a long way! Especially at this time of year when giving and kindness is on so many hearts.
I love that music allows us to come together AND brings us together for a great cause! I’m loving the synergy we’ve found as a band and how cohesive the shows are becoming. Every time we get up there I have such a good time. It also great to have a band that also has such a good time playing on stage, it makes the making of the music even more fun! I can only hope the audience feels that energy and gets excited and takes a little of the magic home with them after the show! ALSO, a very special thanks to Two Horse Studios for the incredible photos!
