When I’m touring and promoting my music I get to meet the coolest people and whether they are fellow artists or fans, I love the opportunity to connect with like minded people. I recently discovered the brand Wanderers and Warriors on Instagram and as soon as I found out they had a love of traveling too, I wanted to know more. The brand, which is based out of Peterborough England, is run by two entrepreneurs who were inspired and fueled by a love of travel, something I also happen to love! So when I had the chance to partner with them to share their clothing collection it seemed like a very natural fit. This shirt has quickly become one of my favorites, and not just because it’s so comfortable, but because I love the message. We should all consider the world our playground and explore it as much as we possibly can. Check out all of their clothing at www.wanderersandwarriors.com
Montreal’s Best Shops
I’m a fan of fashion, there is no denying that. And I love pieces that are chic and versatile. If I can wear it day-to-night, with a dress and jeans, and looks as chic in the airport as in an interview, chances are I’m going to want it. While exploring Montreal I definitely got the vibe that the people of this city shared my love of versatility in their wardrobe choices. My experience of Montreal indicated that it was a very pedestrian city, and that was reflected in the fashion. I found a beautiful Rudsak, a Montreal based designer, jacket in a vintage shop and loved it so much I brought it home with me! What cities have you been to that you really appreciate the local style and fashion of?
Unicorn
This shop was super cute and had a mix of designers, a lot of the pieces were quite expensive but they did have a fair mix of price points. There was a great casual jewelry section as well as a couple local designer pieces I noticed.
Ruse
This was the store where I found my Rudsak jacket that I’m now obsessed with! A great collection of carefully selected vintage pieces at great prices.
Vestibule
This store had such a great selection of homewares and gifts, it was the perfect spot to find a gift to bring back to a friend! The design was so beautiful I found myself just wanting to hangout in here!
Boucle and Papier
I’m a sucker for paper supply stores. I love new notebooks, pens, colored pencils, and all the trinkets of stationary stores. This store was small and had a great collection of trendy but useful items.
Ottawa’s New Country 94.3
I love radio visits! They are so much fun. I love visiting with music lovers, talking about music, and my favorite part is getting to play my newest songs for radio personalities and listeners! Here a few photos from my stop in Ottawa at New Country 94.3.
Montreal’s Best Bakeries
If you know me, you know my love of baked goods is nearing infatuation. I love a good cupcake, cake, muffin, and a nice crunchy bread! So when in Montreal it felt essential to sample a couple croissants and baked treats! I have to say, I was not disappointed! Now I don’t think I’ll be able to eat another croissant outside of France and Montreal that could possibly be as good! (Although I welcome the challenge!) I did a little research while lying in bed on the morning of our first and only day in Montreal and discovered some cult favorites were Boulangerie Mr Pinchot, Boulangerie Les Co’Pains D’abord, and Boulangerie Guillaume! We tried a few treats and I think the almond croissant was my absolute favorite! Do you have a favorite baked treat?

Spring in Ottawa
Right behind the Fairmont was the absolutely beautiful park right next to the Rideau Canal. It was right in the center of the city, beautiful tulips that had just started to bloom, and a fantastic view of some of Ottawa’s best architecture! We took Audrey for a walk in the morning to bask in the sunshine and the natural beauty of Ottawa. What are your favorite things to try in a new city?
Chicago’s Navy Pier
Navy Pier
We took a stroll down to the pier to see the water and generally explore. Navy Pier had some great family attractions, but what I enjoyed most was the view of Chicago’s skyline and the extremely aqua hued water! I have to give an honorable mention to my Steve Madden sneakers here because I wore them all day and they didn’t kill my feet! PS – they are wedges, and I love looking chic while walking miles and miles!
