I’ve been to New York a few times and I’ve stayed in different hotels almost every time. On our most recent trip I think I found my home away from home in Manhattan. We stayed at The Lotte Palace and it was lovely. Everything from the moment we arrived was so wonderful and the people who work at The Palace are so nice.
First off, the location is excellent. We could walk to all our favorite spots within 15 minutes which I love. The history of The Palace is something that I didn’t know prior to the bell man giving us a brief history of the area, the location, and the original mansion itself. It was originally the Vallard Mansion and the gate and layout of the front the the hotel was the entrance for horses and carriages!
I love places that have so much history. I like to imagine what it looked like back when it was built. We also had the most stunning view of St. Patrick’s Cathedral from the back, which I think might be even more beautiful than the front entrance.
The Palace was the perfect spot for our quick stay and everything from the service to the amenities made us feel right at home. All in all I can’t wait to go back. Have you been to New York City? Where did you stay?
