This past weekend I had a great time celebrating my mother, I hope you did too! Then a few days ago, I went to a tree museum for the first time in my life. It sounds odd, but it was a beautiful walk through the forest with added art installations that artists, inspired by the landscape, had been commissioned to create. We had a picnic lunch and then strolled the forest for a few hours taking in the self guided tour. It was a great way to get outside on a beautiful day and get some use of of my boots!
Garnier Super Fruit Super Hair
I love hair products and I love trying new things on my hair that make it softer, shinier, and most importantly, healthier. That’s why when Garnier reached out to ask if I wanted to partner with them to try out there new Super Fruit Super Hair line of hair care products I was so excited! So far I’m loving the Amli shampoo and Amli leave-in conditioner.
It smells divine and made my hair feel SO soft but still full of body. It was great to get home from playing a show over the weekend and indulge in this healthy hair treat that made my hair so manageable.
This whole collection focuses on products designed around the benefits of natural oils and super fruit ingredients. I can’t wait to try the other shampoos, especially the coconut one, so stay tuned!
New Year’s Eve
It’s been a big year for me! I started my blog, I started touring a lot more, I released two songs to radio, and there were ups and downs, and bridges to cross, it was a lot packed into one year, but all in all, it’s been a great year and so much fun. I loved playing shows in LA, Chicago, New York City, Vermont, Maine, and visiting so many new places as well! I’ve grown as a musician, I’ve learned so much professionally, personally, and through going to school at Belmont all the while. I love the people I get to work with, the music I get to create, the musicians I get to play with, it’s such a magical experience every time we step on stage. Here are some of my favorite pictures from this year, I’ve had such a great time sharing it with you!
Snowy Radio Run
I went for a little radio run, visiting some radio stations in Canada, at the end of last week and it was definitely a temperature adjustment from Nashville! The radio visits were fun, as the always are, and then I decorated for Christmas! I’ll have a post on that later this week but for now I’m going to share these photos from the first snowfall I experienced this winter. It’s so beautiful when the snow falls, especially after a little rain because the snow sticks to everything and gives it that sugarcoated look! How do you feel about winter, excited? Over it already?
Radio Tour Real Life
The past two falls I’ve been in school while being on radio tour, and people always ask me how it’s possible to juggle so much travel with being physically present in class. The truth is, it’s just like anything else, you just do it. I’m so fortunate to be able to work in music because I love it so much, and so if it means early mornings, lots of planes, sometimes trains, and always automobiles, it’s worth it. Today I want to share with you some candid photos; sleeping on the car ride between stations, doing homework in the hotel room, squeezing in some holiday goodness from Starbucks, and an interview at Country 107.3 in Tillsonburg Ontario. What are some things that you love to do, even if at times making it all work can be a fun challenge?
Favorite Fall Festivities
I love autumn. I love all seasons, but I really love autumn because it’s the sloping beginning into the holiday season which I’m a huge fan of! The changing leaves, and the hot drinks, and the sweet memories that always seem to be made this time of year always bring a smile to my face. I was home in Canada for a couple days between stops on my tour and on one morning we decided to go for a little stroll on the farm to take in the fall foliage and we snapped these pictures! What’s your favorite part of fall?
