Canada Day and Garnier

On this Canada150 weekend I had the chance to get out on the boat.  It was such a great weekend but as always my hair was blowing like crazy in the wind!  But this time I noticed that my hair smelled amazing, and it’s because I used the new Moisture Lock Shampoo and Conditioner that arrived in my Garnier gift box!

My favorite thing about being a partner with Garnier is getting to have hair that smells incredible all the time.  I never would have thought that Cactus would be so moisturizing and add such shine and health to my hair.  I still love the Clean and Pure shampoo and conditioner, but the smell of the Moisture Lock collection is really winning me over!

Even a few days ago a friend of mine commented on how healthy my hair has been looking lately and I can’t help but think it’s in part because of this shampoo and conditioner!

Brunch So Hard

On Saturday we went to Toronto for a day of food.  We decide to do a dessert crawl, and while researching places to try I stumbled onto Brunchfest.  It was in a warehouse multipurpose space in downtown Toronto and was put on by Budlight Radler.

Multiple restaurants participated with their most brunch-worthy dishes, and we sampled a few…(read: way more than a few).  The whole experience was so fun and a great start to a day in the city, the one drawback I found was the ticketing system that made purchasing the actual food easier, but I also think it overpriced the sample size dishes.

Other than that we had a great time trying several different restaurants at once, enjoying the music, and taking in the multicultural cuisine Toronto has to offer!

Tree Museum

This past weekend I had a great time celebrating my mother, I hope you did too!  Then a few days ago, I went to a tree museum for the first time in my life.  It sounds odd, but it was a beautiful walk through the forest with added art installations that artists, inspired by the landscape, had been commissioned to create.  We had a picnic lunch and then strolled the forest for a few hours taking in the self guided tour.  It was a great way to get outside on a beautiful day and get some use of of my boots!

Earthquake – Live

I love, love, love performing live.  When I’m up on stage it’s the best feeling in the world.  Recently I was able to fly back to Canada for a gig over the Easter weekend and I had such a great time playing with my band.  We played my upcoming single Earthquake and it went over so well, which is such a humbling feeling; when the audience loves the music you wrote.  Here’s a video of Earthquake, let me know what you think!

Garnier Super Fruit Super Hair

I love hair products and I love trying new things on my hair that make it softer, shinier, and most importantly, healthier.  That’s why when Garnier reached out to ask if I wanted to partner with them to try out there new Super Fruit Super Hair line of hair care products I was so excited! So far I’m loving the Amli shampoo and Amli leave-in conditioner.

It smells divine and made my hair feel SO soft but still full of body.  It was great to get home from playing a show over the weekend and indulge in this healthy hair treat that made my hair so manageable.

This whole collection focuses on products designed around the benefits of natural oils and super fruit ingredients.  I can’t wait to try the other shampoos, especially the coconut one, so stay tuned!

New Year’s Eve

It’s been a big year for me! I started my blog, I started touring a lot more, I released two songs to radio, and there were ups and downs, and bridges to cross, it was a lot packed into one year, but all in all, it’s been a great year and so much fun.  I loved playing shows in LA, Chicago, New York City, Vermont, Maine, and visiting so many new places as well!  I’ve grown as a musician, I’ve learned so much professionally, personally, and through going to school at Belmont all the while.  I love the people I get to work with, the music I get to create, the musicians I get to play with, it’s such a magical experience every time we step on stage.  Here are some of my favorite pictures from this year, I’ve had such a great time sharing it with you!
