Every time I have the opportunity to visit New York City, I try to make a list beforehand of all the new/interesting/hot places and things I haven’t seen yet. This trip was no exception and I got to explore a couple places that were incredible. I also indulged in some tasty treats while I was there, and finally got to see two musicals I’ve been very excited about! Book of Mormon has been an extremely popular musical on Broadway and we happened to win the lottery they hold every day and got front row seats! We also had the chance to see Disaster, the musical by Seth Rudetsky, one of the hosts of SiriusXM’s OnBroadyway channel. In case you’re visiting New York City soon I’ll give details of each place I’m posting about below the photographs!
Black Tap NYC – These shakes are even better than they look. Baked by Melissa – These cupcakes are almost gilt free because you can eat about 10 before you reach the size equivalent of a full size cupcake. Which means 10 different flavors to try! Book of Mormon – Hands down, hysterical. This musical is exploding with talent and stomach-aching laughter. It could be considered inappropriate (read: very inappropriate) but if you can take a joke, I highly recommend this show. The High Line – an old train line converted into a walking park that floats above Chelsea. It’s beautiful, free, and very unique. 5th Ave – Stroll this street. It’s iconic, beautiful, and if you are headed up the island it leads you right to Central Park! Get Lost – Okay, so this isn’t really a place, but it’s the best advice I can give. The best moments of New York City are hidden in the side streets, small shops, and different neighborhoods.
