Got to play a show 30 minutes from my hometown and then spend some quality time with my family this month. I have four siblings and two of them had their birthdays within a week of each other and my mum’s birthday, so it’s quite the busy last couple weeks of August. On one of my mornings off, we were able to snap a couple shots by some rapids close to home. Gearing up for a big fall, full of music and awesome adventures, so I loved having a couple hours to enjoy nature!
A few weeks ago I had the chance to do one of my favorite pastimes; go for a drive. We ended up at a small resort a couple towns away from my hometown and found a great view of one of the lakes. Summer is one of my favorite seasons in Canada, because it’s all about being outside and enjoying the season before winter comes and makes staying inside a little more appealing. I love creating an image, especially for a photo shoot. When you write music you have a vision in your mind of how the story of the song would play out in reality and in video shoots and photo shoots, you get to bring a little bit of the song to life in images. The photo shoot I finished this past week is for my new song that’s coming out very soon! I’m so excited for this song, and I can’t wait for you to hear it! I’ll be posting about it when the song is released and telling the story of the writing process for this particular song. In the mean time here’s some behind the scenes shots.
