Garnier Super Fruit Super Hair

I love hair products and I love trying new things on my hair that make it softer, shinier, and most importantly, healthier.  That’s why when Garnier reached out to ask if I wanted to partner with them to try out there new Super Fruit Super Hair line of hair care products I was so excited! So far I’m loving the Amli shampoo and Amli leave-in conditioner.

It smells divine and made my hair feel SO soft but still full of body.  It was great to get home from playing a show over the weekend and indulge in this healthy hair treat that made my hair so manageable.

This whole collection focuses on products designed around the benefits of natural oils and super fruit ingredients.  I can’t wait to try the other shampoos, especially the coconut one, so stay tuned!

Adventure in the Ozarks

I’m so fortunate to get to spend Thanksgiving with my family, and sometimes that means one piece of my family, and sometimes it means another.  This year I spent in in Branson Missouri with some of the best people I know on the family ranch.  On Thanksgiving morning we went for an early morning drive and discovered all kinds of wildlife on the ranch! I know some people like to hunt but I prefer shooting with my camera lens! How was your Thanksgiving?

Radio Row

Music feels like it runs through my veins right along with my blood, so I love meeting other people who are passionate about music!  Radio row is one of the most fun parts of CCMA because I get to see all the incredible people who work at radio stations and bring our music to listeners everywhere.  I get to catch up with friends, and meet new friends, all while talking about the CCMAs and music in general! Here are some photos from the day.  What’s your favorite radio station?

Branson Landing

On June 17, I was asked to perform at the 10 year anniversary of the Branson Landing in Branson Missouri which was such an honor! My entire band and I drove over to Branson on the morning of the 17th, and 7 hours in a band with other musicians is always a good time, typically with many jokes, laughter, and stories being shared.  We sound checked, found out the stage was right by the river (super cool!) and then had just enough time to change for the show!  About 3 songs in the sound cut out due to technical difficulties and a circuit being overloaded, but I went out into the audience to play, just me and my guitar, which was such a fun experience! It was like playing an intimate acoustic sent in the middle of my full band southern rock set! After they got the sound working again we finished out our set, and then got to explore Branson Landing.  The weather was great, my band was awesome (as usual), and the audience was so much fun to play for!  Here are some photos by Roberto Cerini from the show and some behind the scenes photos by my photographer!

Musician’s Travel Guide

I travel a lot.  When I’m home and I see friends, I always hear, “You’re back!”.  I love seeing new places, I always have, but seeing them because I get to play a show? Way, way, way, exciting.  One thing I’ve learned though…instruments are heavy, which means unless I want to feel like a sherpa, I have to condense and lose the non-essentials.

Two things I need for every show

  1. Guitar – obviously.
  2. Microphone

In my carry-on I try and keep it light because toting a guitar around is heavy enough. But I still work from my computer all the time and what if inspiration strikes?! So this is my list of chic musician carry on essentials.  Water bottle not pictured.

  1. Macbook
  2. iPad
  3. iPhone
  4. notebook
  5. sunglasses
  6. wallet
  7. ear plugs
  8. chapstick and lipgloss
  9. perfume
  10. solar charger
  11. earbuds

Travel outfits are always tricky, but I try to bring as many versatile pieces as I can.  Things that can go from plane to meeting, or from plane to night out.

Here are just a few things I feel are great that can be worn a couple time and still look good.

  1. black denim
  2. modal t shirt
  3. denim shorts
  4. chambray shirt
  5. street sneakers
  6. wedge heels
