Fairmont Royal York Full Experience

If you’ve been following my blog for a while you will know I love Fairmont hotels, and the Fairmont Royal York is no exception.

They pay so much attention to detail, especially in the design of the hotel. I love the grounds of the Fairmont Chateau Laurier and I’m already looking forward to visiting the Fairmont Chateau Lake Louise. At the Fairmont Royal York, the staff is delightful, the hotel is so nicely appointed, and it feels so elegant.

We were down in Toronto for the weekend and got an excellent rate on a room at the Fairmont Royal York, which has been on my “must stay” list ever since we stayed at the Fairmont Chateau Laurier in Ottawa. We had drinks at the Library Bar as soon as we dropped our bags off in the room. I LOVED the setting. It felt like sitting in a personal library with hushed conversations and romantic rendezvous happening around us.

I also enjoyed the spa area, and loved the steam room and sauna. I just generally loved our time at the Fairmont! The breakfast buffet wasn’t my favorite, but it did have many options for a variety of palettes. I think my favorite thing about the Fairmont Royal York was the overall atmosphere and the location.

I LOVE train travel and the Fairmont is right across from Union Station. If I was planning to go somewhere the Fairmont would be the perfect overnight spot. It felt like a very decadent home away from home.  I’m already looking forward to visiting again!
