I have been wanting to go back to the beach since we left Florida a few weeks ago. Which inspired me to finally visit Sugar Beach in Toronto!
I happened to have a meeting not too far away from Sugar Beach. As soon as I saw these pink umbrellas I knew I had to visit this beach.
Named Sugar Beach because of it’s close proximity to Redpath Sugar Refinery to white sand definitely bring it’s refined sugar cousin to mind! I’m not sure about you but I find the beach (ocean or lake) to be so peaceful. Even this small beach in the middle of a metropolitan city felt gave me the same feeling. I find the beach to be a great place to reflect and work on editing lyrics as well! Sugar Beach is perfect for this because you can’t actually swim at this beach.
It’s designated as a “public leisure space”. When I visited it was still chilly out but I wasn’t the only one braving the wintry temperatures to take in the sunshine on this beautiful day. I’m already planning to visit Sugar Beach again during a more seasonable time, but I have a feeling I’ll be in a much bigger crowd full of people vying for one of the few beach chairs!
